Ravelling in the past is a thing that one should not do too much - not if it is at the cost of the present. But it's hard not to look back at all the things I've seen and cherish those memories more than anything. Europe, my beloved Europe, in the palm of my hand, presented on this map:
Deutschlandkarten auf stepmap.de: http://www.stepmap.de/landkarte-deutschland'
A few words to explain the somewhat original coloring of this map:
RED: Germany, as it is my home base
LIGHT ORANGE: The countries I have visited on my five month trip to the Balkans in 2010 and that have inspired me to take up blogging altogether
DARK ORANGE: The Baltics which I have visited on my summer trip in 2012
GREEN: All the countries I have written about on this blog that were not part of a larger journey, but just of one or more short visits
LIGHT BLUE: All the countries I have been to but not written about on this blog
The only cities indicated are my Sehnsuchtsorte (Places of Desire) and my home base Berlin.
The other countries are, naturally, on the bucket list.
The countries I have been to are, in alphabetical order:
Bosnia and Hercegovina
Two of them are non-European and thus do not show on the map. But... as of this year the number amounts to an even 30 and I am just a bit psyched about that!
